Armed police train weapons on house in quiet residential street as woman arrested

Police issued a statement after the incident in Pont Aur, Ystradgynlais

Armed police descended on a quiet residential street in Ystradgynlais after officers received a report that a firearm had allegedly been pointed in the direction of an individual.

Dyfed-Powys Police were called at around 4.25pm on Sunday, September 27, following an allegation that a firearm had been pointed towards a person outside an address in Pont Aur.

Armed units attended the address and arrested a woman on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

However, following further enquiries, police found no supporting evidence to substantiate the allegation.

The woman was subsequently released from custody with no further action.
