Arrest made and four injured after Staxton Hill incident
The incident happened at 8:30am this morning (Thursday) on the B1249 at the top of Staxton Hill between Fordon Lane and North Cotes Road.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said it involved four vehicles, including an orange Kia Ceed, a blue Ford Focus, a dark grey Ford Ranger and an orange Ford Ranger.
“Four occupants were taken to hospital for minor injuries following the collision, where they are currently receiving treatment.
“A man has since been arrested following the incident.”

“The road was closed for a number of hours while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicles involved to be recovered.
“We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who witnessed the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.
“We are also appealing for any information regarding the orange Ford Ranger and any sightings of this particular vehicle prior to the collision, it is believed to have been heading north from Foxholes towards Scarborough.”
