Where is Bridgerton filmed in Bath?
Many scenes from Bridgerton, which are meant to depict Regency London, were actually filmed in and around Bath, England. The city’s beautifully preserved Georgian architecture and cobblestone streets provide the ideal setting for 19th-century London.
Here are the main Bath filming locations you can visit:
1. No.1 Royal Crescent – The Featheringtons’ residence
The facade of this grand townhouse on the famous Royal Crescent is used as the Featherington family home. In real life, it functions as a museum showcasing late 18th-century living.
2. The Royal Crescent – Setting for numerous scenes
The sweeping row of Georgian townhouses forms a striking backdrop for many shots throughout the series.
3. Bath Assembly Rooms – Balls and society gatherings
Several opulent social scenes, including balls, were filmed at this location. These elegant rooms with chandeliers and Corinthian columns perfectly capture the Regency era.
4. Abbey Green – Madame Genevieve Delacroix’s dressmaking shop (“Modiste”)
This cobbled square near Bath Abbey was used as the exterior (and occasionally interior) of the Modiste dressmaking shop visited by Eloise and Penelope.
5. Bath Street – Scenes depicting London streets
This colonnade-lined, cobbled street features in various outdoor scenes representing London.
6. Beauford Square and Trim Street – Filming of period street scenes
These peaceful Georgian streets and squares were reimagined for various street scenes, depicting carriage rides and the vibrant activity of Regency-era everyday life.
7. Edward Street (near Great Pulteney Street) – Season 3 filming
This residential Georgian street was used for new street scenes in later episodes, with the production team styling it to create authentic period shots.
8. The Holburne Museum – Lady Danbury’s residence exterior
The striking facade and entrance to the museum have been used as the exterior of Lady Danbury’s home in the show.
