Bench warrant issued at court for arrest of Seaham sex offender
Daniel Snaith was due to appear at Teesside Crown Court today (Thursday, September 3), having also failed to attend an earlier scheduled hearing at Durham Crown Court.
The case had been committed for sentence to the crown court by Peterlee magistrates on Friday, July 3.

When Snaith failed to appear at Durham Crown Court, on Friday, July 31, his counsel, Brian Mark, told the hearing that the defendant had been ill all the previous night with an upset stomach.
In the absence of any information to the contrary, Judge Nathan Adams said the case would be put back, “to the next available slot”, at Teesside Crown Court, on September 3.
But, when he, again, failed to attend the Teesside hearing on this afternoon, without explanation, Recorder Taryn Turner issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the 31-year-old defendant, of Alexandria Street, Seaham.
