Body found in field is missing Robert Rees-Hughes
Police have confirmed that the body found on open land near Easingwold on Friday (April 17) has been formally identified as Robert Rees-Hughes.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Robert’s family have been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
“Robert was reported missing to us on 29 November 2025, and extensive searches were carried out in the weeks that followed.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal or provided information. Please now remove any photos or details of Robert that you previously shared.”
