Jasmine Ferguson has been missing since Tuesday.
A body has been found in a wooded area near a Stenhousemuir street following the desperate search for a missing 16-year-old girl.
Police Scotland were called at around 4.15pm on Thursday, September 3, following the discovery of a body in woodland near McLachlan Street.
Formal identification has yet to take place but officers have confirmed that the family of Jasmine Ferguson, who had been reported missing from the town two days ago, are aware of the discovery.
The youngster was last seen at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 1, in the Lamond View area of Stenhousemuir.
Officers from Police Scotland have stated that the death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
