Boy, 14, hurt in suspected hit-and-run in Hartlepool
The crash happened at around 3.45pm on Saturday, January 31, on Chester Road in Hartlepool and involved a black Nissan Qashqai and a blue and white quad bike.
The quad bike rider, a 14-year-old boy, suffered bruising and swelling.
It’s believed the two male occupants of the Nissan Qashqai made off from the scene on foot in the direction of Ashley Gardens.
Cleveland Police has since launched an appeal asking for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for information and any relevant CCTV or dash cam footage after a collision in Hartlepool.
“Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have information to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 019246.”
