Cadbury’s new Dairy Milk bar flavour is dividing opinions

The chocolate giant has launched a limited-edition Dairy Milk bar with a watermelon-flavoured pink fondant centre.

The 180g chocolate bar was created in collaboration with Australian cosmetics brand MCoBeauty and is inspired by the company’s Watermelon Glow product range.

The collaboration extends beyond chocolate and includes a Cadbury-themed eyeshadow palette and a lip peptide treatment.

It also includes an Icons Collection featuring mascara, eyeliner, pressed powder and a setting puff, as reported by creatorzine.com.

Lucy Robinson, head of marketing at MCoBeauty, said: “We’ve always believed beauty should be fun, accessible and a little unexpected.

“So when the opportunity came to bring the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk experience into beauty, it was an easy yes.”

Katrina Watson, ANZ director of chocolate and meals at Cadbury owner Mondelēz International, said the collaboration was designed to “spark conversation” and give customers new ways to engage with the two brands.

The launch has certainly got people talking online, with many divided on the flavour.

Responding to a post by popular food page NewfoodsUK, one person said: “Gosh, I would actually try this!!! Looks so good.

“They need to make it.”

Another wrote: “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!

“There’s chocolate on my phone! Made outta watermelone!”

Not everyone was convinced though.

One user said: “Not sure how I feel about this!!!”

How to buy Cadbury Dairy Milk Watermelon flavour in the UK

Unfortunately for UK fans, the watermelon Dairy Milk bar is currently only available in Australia through Woolworths stores.

There has been no announcement about a UK release.
