Disney star Carla Jeffery has died at the age of 33, her talent agency has confirmed in a devastating statement as her friends pay tribute

A former Disney star has died at the age of 33. Carla Jeffery, who is best known for her role as Bree in the Zombies franchise died on Tuesday, her agency sadly confirmed.

Posting on the star’s Instagram, Alexanders Talent Management wrote: “Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Carla Jeffery. [broken heart emoji].”

They continued: “For more than 20 years, Carla was part of the Alexanders Talent Management family, and watching her grow from a talented young girl into the beautiful, vibrant woman and actress she became was an incredible privilege.

“As Bree in Disney’s hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world. Carla was more than a client; she was family. Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time. We respectfully ask that their privacy be honored as they grieve this unimaginable loss.”

They ended: “Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten.”

Carla’s cause of death has not yet been revealed. Following the announcement of her death, followers quickly paid their own tribute online. Among them was fellow Disney star, Liamani. She wrote: “Sweet girl. Knowing you was an honor. There will never be another soul like yours.”

Chandler Kinney also wrote: “The brightest shining light in any room she walked into. The kindest person you’d ever meet. The most beautiful soul. This doesn’t feel real…”

And Zombies co-star Freya Skye added: “What a wonderful, bright, joyous human. Rest easy Carla.”

The Texas-born was born on July 10, 1993.. She is the twin sister of actor Carlon Jeffery, who also starred for Disney. He featured on the Channel’s hit show A.N.T. Farm.

Carlon paid tribute to his sister on his Instagram Story by reposting the Alexanders Talent Management statement.

Carla began her acting career aged just 12. She first appeared in Phat Girlz (2006), which starred Mo’Nique. She has also starred in various other projects, including Curb Your Enthusiasm (2007-2009), iCarly (2008), Southland (2009), and American Vandal (2017).

She first took on the role of Bree in the 2018 film of the Zombies franchise. The character is an cheerleader, who is the best friend of the protagonist Addison (played by Meg Donnelly). She has reprised her role in Zombies 2 (2020), Zombies 3 (2022), and Zombies: The Re-Animated Series (2024).

She told LRM Online at the time: “I think it’s staying passionate about it with what you do. Cause seriously, everybody put their all in each and every movie, which makes room for more.”

At the time, Jeffery also gushed over working with the cast, saying they were all friends and “miss[ed] each other so much” during breaks in between films.

Her last project was voicing Tiara in the podcast Series, Asanté, in 2025.
