Chelsea FC vs Tottenham: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds
There was plenty for Alonso to analyse at full-time after his side put on a tidy attacking display but were broadly unconvincing in defence. In terms of positives, Joao Pedro bagged a nine-minute hat-trick, Dastan Satpayev marked his debut with a goal, and the Reggies Watson and Walsh put on a formidable performance in midfield, as did several of their academy team-mates.
For both sides, this will be the most challenging fixture of their pre-season campaigns, and both managers will be keen to curry favour with supporters by defeating an arch-rival.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Chelsea vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 10.45am BST kick-off on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
The match will take place at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

Chelsea vs Tottenham team news
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will have Jorrel Hato or Mamadou Sarr at their disposal after both missed the Western Sydney match, which came too early in their pre-season schedules.
Neither Morgan Rogers nor Maxence Lacroix are available for the tie, though their fellow summer signing Marco Palestra could make his full debut.
Alonso seemed reluctant to give his star players too many minutes last time out, but the likes of Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill and Joao Pedro will be keen to start here.

Mateus Fernandes missed Spurs’ previous injury with what was described as calf fatigue, and it is not yet clear whether he will be available to face Chelsea.
Jan Paul van Hecke is yet to play his first minutes in Tottenham colours since signing from Brighton and will hope to make a long-awaited debut here.
Marcos Senesi, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr all reported for pre-season at Hotspur Way on Thursday and thus are not expected to feature here.

Chelsea vs Tottenham prediction
While this particular London derby might not carry the same needle as its next edition, to be staged at Stamford Bridge in late October, both sides will come into this match desperate to win.
Tottenham have the benefit of the added fitness and sharpness that comes with having played one more match than Chelsea this summer, and will be keen to take advantage of the Blues’ apparently porous back line.
Their attack has not been brilliant of late, though, only scoring once against Sydney last time out, and Chelsea will be perfectly willing to take advantage of their youthful defence.
We expect a low-scoring affair, which Chelsea might just edge.
Head to head (h2h) history and results
Chelsea pulled off a league double over Tottenham last season, winning 1-0 away and 2-1 at home. Those two matches featured four different managers, with Enzo Maresca facing Thomas Frank in the first meeting and Calum McFarlane going up against Roberto De Zerbi in the reverse fixture.
