Chorley six-year-old has racist words written on arms and forehead
Lancashire Police were called at 6.30pm on Saturday, September 5, to reports of racially aggravated assault in Harpers Recreational Ground, in Harpers Lane, Chorley.
The force is treating the incident as a hate crime, and an investigation has been launched.
Enquiries are ongoing.
A force spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.28pm on Saturday 5th September to a report of racially aggravated assault on Harpers Recreation Ground, Harpers Lane, Chorley.
“It was reported to us that a six-year-old boy had been approached by two older children and that a racist word had been written on his forehead and arm with a marker pen.
“This is being treated as a hate crime, and an investigation has been launched. Our enquiries are ongoing.
“If you were in the park from around 6pm and have information, please contact 101 – quoting log 1021 of 5th September.”
