Coffee chain famed for matcha drinks opening branch in Cambridgeshire

An American coffee chain is opening its first location in Cambridgeshire. Blank Street Coffee is set to bring its popular coffees and matcha drinks to Cambridge.

Locals have noticed work being done to 54 Sidney Street as the building is being painted in the classic green colour Blank Street is known for. It is set to open in the former site of the Real Eating Company.

The brand started in New York with a coffee cart in Brooklyn and opened its first store in Williamsburg in 2021. After growing in popularity, Blank Street opened its first UK store in London in 2022.

Blank Street has gone on to open sites across England in cities like Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds. The coffee chain is known for its colourful drinks including a range of flavoured matcha lattes.

The chain also offers a selection of regular coffees such as cappuccinos, flavoured lattes, flat whites, and mochas. Many options can be served hot and cold. You can also pick up pastries like croissants, cookies, and banana bread.
