Cordon at Starkey Crescent home after York police incident

Six police vans were in Starkey Crescent, Tang Hall, on Sunday morning (March 8) following the incident which is believed to have happened overnight.

Officers cordoned off a home in Starkey Crescent, near the street’s junction with Cosmo Avenue.

A car parked in the home’s driveway had a smashed windscreen.

One police officer stood guard in the home’s back garden.

Neighbours reported hearing loud bangs overnight.

One neighbour said they heard two “massive bangs” on Saturday night.

Another neighbour said they also heard loud bangs which they initially thought were fireworks.
