A blue Kia Picanto and a police van appear to have been badly damaged in the collision, with the latter appearing to have collided with railings in the middle of the road, its front bumper completely hanging off.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said, “At around 8:50pm this evening (Friday, 3rd July), firefighters were called to the scene of a collision between two vehicles on Queens Road in Manchester.
“One fire engine from Manchester Central fire station, along with the technical rescue unit from Leigh fire station quickly arrived at the scene. All seven occupants of the vehicles had self-rescued before the arrival of the fire service and were given care at the roadside by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews handed the scene over to Greater Manchester Police before leaving around half an hour later.”
