Viewers of the ITV soap knew that a death would rock the cobbles in the spring after an episode of Corrie featured flashforward scenes to April back in February.

The scenes showed Betsy Swain being interviewed by police after discovering the dead body of someone she knew on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain’s, wedding to Carla Connor, before it was revealed that Theo, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh and Maggie Driscoll were the potential victims.

But it wasn’t until a week after the wedding actually took place, on April 23, that a horrified Betsy was seen discovering Theo dead, with a ‘whodunnit’ now underway.

DS Connor-Swain and DC Kit Green have already been seen lining up who they think is responsible, with Corrie previously confirming Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass and Danielle Silverton as the six potential suspects.

While the investigation is ongoing, Summer has been charged with Theo’s murder after all the evidence so far pointed in her direction, and Tyrone Dobbs lied about seeing her on the night the abuser, who was alive at the time, was killed.

It was during Monday’s (June 1) visit to Weatherfield that a distressed Summer was seen revealing to Todd that she is considering pleading guilty to manslaughter as it seems her only option. Todd’s heartbroken for her and after he was earlier seen opening up to Sarah Platt, who was also marking 22 years since the death of their son, Billy, about the situation.

Fuelled by what Summer told him, Todd was seen heading to No.6 and was seen confronting Lisa about the case. He also asked if he could have his phone back from the police now, but was shocked to find out from the detective that the police didn’t seize the phone. A flashback then saw a mysterious figure handling the device and removing the SIM card.

But it’s also left Corrie fans sharing what they think has also been missing from the investigation so far, after it played an important part in the abuse storyline between Theo and Todd previously.

@LadyReignFC said: “No one’s mentioning CCTV, Todd & Theo’s ring camera etc. when it comes to the murder but did mention it to give Danielle an alibi because #corrie wants to drag this out until the end of the month so then mentioning the phone means it will lead us to the next phase..”

@Audz32129841 commented: “Seems strange we’ve never seen or heard the police saying they’ve checked through hours of cctv, dash cam or doorbell footage from the street and surrounding area only Gary’s cctv was mentioned #Corrie.” @AmyJoSays shared: “Hear me out with #Corrie: What has happened with Theo & Todd’s ring doorbell? It was always shown and I can’t remember it being mentioned with Theo’s murder. Would it not surely show who visited the flat?”

@janner_geek replied: “I don’t think the killer went through the front door. There is a lot of scaffolding up, around the flat, and we’ve recently seen other characters (Will and Maggie Driscoll) up there, and I doubt the access point is near the flat front door.” @Tomp_14 added: “Are we just going to pretend that there wasn’t a doorbell camera that captured anyone going in and out the flat, seen as that’s where Theo was attacked…”
