Crash closes main road in Yorkshire town with crews called

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the two-vehicle crash in Leeds Road, Harrogate, shortly after 8.20am on Friday (September 18).

Leeds Road was closed after the crash but has since reopened.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said all occupants were out of the vehicles when its two crews arrived from Harrogate.

The fire service said the occupants of the vehicles were being treated by paramedics for minor injuries after the crash.

“Crews removed both vehicles from the road to allow carriageway so that the road could be reopened,” a service spokesperson said.

“The incident was left in the hands of police.”
