Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street viewers have been theorising what happens next for key characters and plots, including Joel Marshall’s sentencing and Theo Silverton’s downfall
Fans of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders are already suspecting some big twists could be on the way.
There’s hints at new romances and a love triangle, according to viewers, while some are also predicting the downfalls of two villains. Another theory surrounds the death of a character, while another soap character’s prison fate could be rumbled.
Let’s start with Emmerdale, after the recent return of Graham Foster. Following him being confirmed alive, six years after his murder, fans believe he will be at the centre of a love triangle.
Could he end up back with his, technically, wife Kim Tate, and might he reunite with ex Rhona Goskirk? One theory suggested: “Graham is going to be in a love triangle with Kim and Rhona, but he will secretly be working against Kim in the aim of drawing Joe of her grip.”

Other fans wondered if he would be the one to end Joe Tate’s evil ways. A theory read: “I hope Graham coming back has a positive influence on Joe and make him rethink some of his recent choices concerning Robert Victoria and Moira!”
Over on Corrie, the big death mystery, set to air this year in a flashforward, has sparked some theories. Some fans think they know who dies, with one theory claiming: “The only justification for how many storylines Carl is involved in right now has to mean he’s gonna be the victim in the whodunnit #Corrie flashforward!
“Abi, Kevin, Tyrone, Debbie, Ryan, Jodie, Ronnie, Theo…. All gonna be the suspects!” Another fan predicted: “The flashforward in Corrie is small glimpses of the families that the potential victim is from.
“The people are in their happy little bubbles. Filmed similarly as the Christmas day episode start, with Carla being the last shot. Swarla wedding planning, Platts with Harper, people in the pub having a laugh, and the last shot is the body being found.”
Death asides, some fans think they know who will bring down killer Theo Silverton, with them guessing that same person will also trigger the downfall of child groomer Megan Walsh. A fan said: “I’m gonna need DS Swain to bring both Megan and Theo to justice.
“A satisfying arc would be that when interviewing Todd she comes to realise the parallels between Theo’s behaviours & what Becky subjected her to and goes home and discusses it with Carla.” Another echoed this saying: “Lisa in the end is the one to bring Theo down.
“She interviews Todd, being similarly gentle with him as she was with Abi. While investigating, questioning and gaining evidence, Lisa starts to see similarities between her and Becky’s relationship.
“As Theo is brought down, Lisa starts her own story of realisation, understanding and overcoming the abuse, with the support from the Connor-Swains, and especially Carla.” Another Corrie theory saw a fan predict a redemption arc for returning character Lou Michaelis.
The theory read: “I’d like Lou’s redemption arc with Debbie and her prison stint! Lou looks out for her whilst she’s inside.” Next up, EastEnders fans are speculating that Joel Marshall won’t be sent to prison after he faced court in a recent episode.
The teenager had brutally attacked his stepmother Vicki Fowler, while full charges included grievous bodily harm, voyeurism, and producing and distributing indecent images of a child. Some fans wondered if he would be handed a short prison sentence after pleading guilty, leading to an eventual return.
A fan commented: “My intrusive thoughts telling me Joel is going to get off.” Another said: “They cannot let Joel out of prison!” Meanwhile one fan commented: “Surely if Joel gets up to a year, he’d have to return at some point.”
A further theory read: “Anyone else feel like they’re setting Joel up to reintegrate onto the square in a year’s time?” Another said: “I’m guessing they’re setting up for a future return at some point.”
