Belinda Owusu only recently came back to the show to reprise her role as Libby Fox after she first left EastEnders 10 years ago.

Libby returned to Albert Square last month after her mum Denise was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

Libby has been involved in several dramatic storylines since she came back.

Why is Libby Fox leaving EastEnders?

As well as dealing with Denise’s diagnosis, her sister Chelsea has had to cope with her son Jordan being hit by Ian Beale after he had been drinking.

Libby has been trying to help her sister with her money problems by trying to repair the relationship between Chelsea and Jordan’s other grandmother, Sheila Atkins, who had been sending her cheques.

Chelsea had not been spending the cheques because she did not want to be associated with Sheila and Jordan’s dad, Gray Atkins, who was a serial killer.

Sheila had lied to Chelsea about not seeing Gray in prison so she could remain in Jordan’s life.

Viewers will see Denise return to the soap this week after spending some time in hospital, and Libby leaving again after her short return.

Libby could come back again to the show, as Denise is keeping it a secret that her treatment is not going well and she will have to do another round.

Belinda first joined the cast in 2006 and has appeared in many episodes of the soap over the years.

Libby was seen earlier this year in the flash-forward episode set on New Year’s Day 2027, after she left the show in 2017.

As well as starring in EastEnders, Belinda is best known for her role in Holby City, playing Nicky McKendrick.
