‘Emergency services incident’ cancels trains through York
TransPennine Express said crews are dealing with an incident in the Mirfield area this morning (Tuesday, July 28).

Services are currently being cancelled at the West Yorkshire station, with one eyewitness saying the entrance has been cordoned off.
Rail replacement transport is in operation from Huddersfield to Manchester Piccadilly and has been requested to Leeds.
National Rail said operating trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes and is advising customers to check its real-time Journey Planner.
A spokesperson for TransPennine Express said routes from Manchester to York, Scarborough, Newcastle and Redcar Central are all affected by delays or short-notice cancellations in both directions.
Network Rail said delays in the area are expected until 10.30am.
