The never-before-seen photo was part of three million pages of documents, emails, photos and videos dropped by the US Justice Department yesterday. This mugshot showed Maxwell in an orange jumpsuit with her hair tied into a bun, believed to have been taken after her arrest in July 2020. The former-British socialite turned criminal was arrested in the US on six federal charges. These included transportation of minors across state lines for sex, perjury and sexual exploitation of minors. The sex offender was later locked up for 20 years but is serving her time at a medium-security jail.

The US Justice Department said it was releasing more records from the Epstein files in line with the Epstein Files Transparency Act – a law that was introduced last year much to Donald Trump’s anger.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images were part of the latest huge dump of documents.

These files showed even more bombshell information about the sick and twisted pair. Billionaire Epstein left Maxwell $5 million (£3.6 million) of his huge fortune, according to documents.

Epstein, who died in a jail cell in 2019, said he would leave $5 million to Maxwell, if she survives him. Maxwell ended up becoming one of nine people who would receive $5 million following the sex offender’s death.

While several of these names were redacted, Epstein’s reported last girlfriend Karyna Shuliak was also handed $5 million in the will. Another person who benefitted was associate Jean-Luc Brunel, who was found dead in a Paris prison cell in 2022.

The sex offender’s lawyer, Darren Indyke, was also on the beneficiary list. Epstein was found dead in a New York City prison cell in 2019. Being mentioned in the Epstein Files does not imply guilt.

More emails between Maxwell and “The Invisible Man”, who signed their messages off with “A”, were also released last night. The Disgraced British socialite wrote to the contact, who is thought to be Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

In a message on March 31, 2002, Maxwell called this person “sweet pea”, after the Queen Mother died. Maxwell wrote: “Sweat pea – sorry you had to rush home, and also under such sad circumstances.

“However much the passing was to be expected in one so old, it does not make it any less sad. She was wonderful, and I am happy that I managed to meet her and speak with her. We shall reschedule. Love you. Gx.”

The next day, The Invisible Man responded: “Got your message this morning. Sorry to have missed you yesterday I will ring later today to chat. A xxx.” Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
