Police have closed down the Swiss-German border crossing after explosives were detected during a routine inspection of a car.
Dogs alerted Swiss customs officers to a German vehicle at the Rheinfelden border crossing at around 1pm local time, Bild reports. The German Federal Police are at the scene with a bomb disposal team.
