Fire engines at the scene of a fire at Washington dealership
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue said they were called to the Sherwood Van Centre in Washington at 5.53pm this evening (Tuesday, August 11).
A spokesperson confirmed that six fire engines are currently (7pm) at the scene.

Police officers have also been called to the dealership.
Pictures show thick clouds of black smoke coming from the building while a cordon has been put in place.
A large crowd has gathered as firefighters attempt to bring the flames under control.
