Fired Apprentice 2026 candidate reveals her TikTok job is booming
For many would-be business types, going on The Apprentice is a make-or-break opportunity.
Despite many promising from the back of a black cab that ‘this isn’t the last Lord Sugar will hear of me,’ fired candidates often fade into obscurity.
Indeed, aside fromThomas Skinner and Katie Hopkins, it’s hard to think of any losers who’ve gone on to bigger and better things.
That might be about to change, though.
Enter Georgina Newton, who had the misfortune to be sacked from The Apprentice season 20 in the very first episode, along with Nikki Jetha.

‘After I spent two weeks feeling sorry for myself, I got myself a job selling live on TikTok shop,’ she explained. ‘I work for various brands now. I’m really good at it, and I love doing it.’
It turns out that part of the reason Georgina wanted to take part was so she could have a go at live TV shopping, and now she’s living that dream.
‘Off the back of my TikTok, I’ve got a showreel together, and my CV is ready to go, she continued.
‘I’m talking to TV shopping channels, and I’m going to get myself a job doing that. So watch this space. Oh, and also Panto. I’m very much hoping to do Panto at Christmas again this year – I’m available!’
Still, just because things are going well for the actor and entrepreneur doesn’t mean she doesn’t have some regrets about going home early.
‘I was really sad,’ she admitted when asked how she felt about being fired.
‘I think in the first episode, I probably contributed more than anybody on my team, and I think for the show, the person that contributes the least should go home. I thought a had a few more weeks at least left in me.’
If she had her time again, Georgina knows exactly what she would have done. Rather than trying to explain why she brought her teammates on the sub team into the boardroom, she’d have gone on the offensive.
Should Georgina have been fired?
‘I would have conducted myself the same except I would have redirected the energy away from the girls and why I bought them back, and I would have just sat there and told him why I deserved to be there,’ she said.
‘That’s what I was always going to do, but in the moment it didn’t happen. I wanted to fight and tell him why I’m there and that I deserved to be there, and then maybe that would have swayed his decision, and he would have sent somebody else home. But alas, hindsight.’
So, who does Georgina think should have gone home? Well, she’s not pointing the finger at anyone specifically, but…
‘I would have sent two girls home from Nikki’s sub team because I think there’s no excuse for being two hours late somewhere,’ she said.
‘I can’t comment on who that person is because I don’t know what they did or how they worked, because I wasn’t on their sub team. But that’s what I would have done.’
Very diplomatic, Georgina.
The Apprentice continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursdays at 21:00, with The Apprentice: Unfinished Business airing straight after on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
