Firefighters attend an incident on Bromwich Street, Bolton
Two engines attended the scene near the top of Bromwich Street, near the town centre, responding to reports of a fire at a residential property.
Thankfully, the incident turned out to be a relatively minor pan fire caused by burnt food.
Neither residents nor emergency services were injured during the incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 5.20pm on Wednesday 20 May, our crews were called to reports of a fire on Bromwich Street, Bolton Firefighters
“Two fire engines from Bolton Central station quickly attended the incident and firefighters helped make the property safe.
“Fire crews were in attendance for about 20 minutes.”
Fire services were called after the building’s alarm went off due to smoke from the burning pan.

Fire services were not required to extinguish a fire, but did help clear the smoke.
Police also visited the scene but were told to stand down as it was a job for the fire service.
GMP issued a short statement: “We attended to support but were stood down.”
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
