The public is urged to stay away while emergency crews attend to the fire.
Firefighters are battling a huge blaze at a quarry in Peterhead.
Emergency crews were alerted to the incident at Stoneyfield Quarry on the Longhaven area at around 3:10pm on Saturday.
Police have locked down the road between Auchiries and Cairn Catto and locals are advised to avoid the area.
Drone footage shows plumes of black smoke billowing out of a building at the quarry with flames visible inside.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a fire in Longhaven, Peterhead, at Stoneyhill Quarry, which was reported around 3.10pm on Saturday, 1 August, 2026.
“Road closures are in place between Auchiries and Cairn Catto. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area at this time”
