Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a derelict building
Firefighters were called to a building fire in a Cambridgeshire town after receiving reports of a fire at 6.30am on Tuesday (April 14). Cambridgeshire firefighters arrived to find a fire in a derelict building on Acre Road, March.
Crews from March, Chatteris, and Wisbech attended. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue has confirmed that no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is believed to have been deliberate.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 6.29am on Tuesday (14) crews from March, Chatteris and Wisbech were called to a fire on Acre Road in March.
“Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a derelict building. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet, along with a positive pressure ventilation fan to remove the smoke. They returned to their stations by 9am. There were no injuries reported.”
