Firefighters called to fire next to guided busway in Cambridge

Two crews were called to a fire involving logs

Firefighters were called to a fire near the guided busway in Cambridge. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue were called to a fire in the open just after 9am on Monday (August 3) near King’s Hedges Road.

Firefighters were pictured using the Cambridge guided busway to get to the incident.

A fire spokesperson said: “At 9.04am two crews from Cambridge along with Cottenham were called to a fire in the open near Kings Hedges Road in Cambridge. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish a fire involving logs.

“The cause of the fire was accidental. Crews are now returning to their stations.”
