A local bystander explained a huge number of the emergency services have descended on the area.
A blaze at a property in Glasgow has sparked a huge emergency response.
Mercy crews raced to to Scotstoun Street in the city at around 4:45pm this afternoon, Monday, January 19, after being alerted to the fire.
It remains unclear whether anyone has been injured as a result of the incident.
An image shows three fire appliances and ambulance lined up on Dumbarton Road with blue lights from the vehicles lighting up the night sky. A number of locals can be seen with firefighters visible further up the road.
A bystander told the Record at least six fire appliances are at the scene.
They said: “There’s a huge amount of emergency services on Dumbarton Road outside the Tesco Express in Scotstoun.
“The whole street’s shut off from the Whiteinch roundabout down, with around six fire engines and a few police vehicles.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “We received a report of a property on fire at Scotstoun Street in Glasgow at around 4:45pm this afternoon, Monday, January 19. A number of appliances remain at the scene.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
