A Belfast hotel is set to reopen its doors after a multi-million-pound transformation.
Malone Lodge Hotel in South Belfast is ready to welcome new and old faces as it enters a new chapter as The Malone, a “high-end luxury boutique destination”.
Opening on February 6, it was recently named by The Times as one of the ’24 best new hotels in the UK’ for the year ahead.

The project has been a significant driver for the local economy, creating 20 new jobs and supporting a network of local suppliers.
The extensive transformation extends across the entire property, including the Greyhound Bar, Gallery restaurant, and a redesigned Lounge and Reception lobby. The hotel also introduces signature touches such as panoramic suites and bespoke art installations celebrating Belfast’s rich heritage.
Gareth Macklin, Director of The Malone said: “After months of meticulous planning and hard work, seeing the final designer touches in place is incredibly rewarding.
“We have moved beyond the traditional hotel model to create a private sanctuary at the heart of the Queen’s Quarter.
“This opening marks the beginning of a new legacy for our team and for Belfast’s hospitality scene. We can’t wait to welcome our first guests through the doors this weekend.”
Newly Appointed General Manager Chris Lockhart added: “It is a privilege to join the team at The Malone at such a pivotal moment in the hotel’s history.
“We have worked tirelessly to ensure every detail, from the redesigned guest rooms to the new Gallery restaurant, is ready to welcome our first guests this weekend.”
