Hartlepool – lifeguards and supervisors wanted for summer
Hartlepool Borough Council is looking to hire eight beach lifeguards and four supervisors to work across the main beach at Seaton Carew throughout the school summer holidays.
The shifts will run daily from July 18 to September 1.
Councillor Karen Oliver, Chair of the Council’s Housing, Growth and Communities Committee, said: “Our beach lifeguards play a vital role, so we are looking for high quality candidates who are fit, strong swimmers, good team workers, reliable, calm under pressure, with good communications skills. If this is you, we’d love to hear from you.”
Applicants must hold a valid Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ).
For those without the qualification, the council is offering an RLSS NVBLQ course to help interested applicants gain the necessary credentials.
The course will take place over three weekends, beginning on Saturday, March 14, and costs £175 per person.
More details about the roles and how to apply can be found on the North East Jobs website.
Applications for the lifeguard and supervisor positions must be submitted by Friday, April 17.
