Greater Manchester Police have issued a statement on this incident in Heywood.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At 3:10pm this afternoon (Thursday 24 November), Officers were called to reports of a collision between and car and a child on King Street in Heywood.
“A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing class a drugs.
“The child was taken to hospital with a broken leg.
“The driver remains in custody.”
