Despite the overhaul, eBay says the process for sellers will remain largely unchanged.

The rollout will happen in phases throughout August 2026, with eligible account holders receiving a notification before they’re automatically switched over to the new service.

It will see eBay International Shipping (eIS) will begin replacing the current Global Shipping Programme for eligible listings on eBay.co.uk, giving sellers access to buyers in more than 195 countries – almost double the 105 countries currently covered.

Just like the current Global Shipping Programme, sellers will simply send their sold item to a UK domestic shipping hub. From there, eBay takes care of the international delivery.

The biggest difference is the potential reach. Eligible listings will become visible to buyers in almost 200 countries, opening up significantly more opportunities for international sales.

There could also be savings for overseas customers, with eBay saying international delivery costs through the new service can be up to 30% cheaper.

The company is also removing international selling fees on orders completed through eBay International Shipping, meaning sellers won’t pay extra to access overseas buyers.

Another benefit is added protection once an item reaches the domestic hub. After the parcel has been scanned in, sellers will be protected by eBay against claims for lost, damaged or delayed items during the international leg of the journey.

The buyer, rather than the seller, will continue to pay international postage costs and any import charges, meaning there are no additional shipping fees for UK sellers using the service.

Eligible accounts will be moved across automatically from August. Before the change takes place, affected users will receive a separate notification confirming exactly when their account will be enrolled.

Once switched over, all eligible listings will automatically be updated to use eBay International Shipping, allowing sellers to continue selling internationally while potentially reaching millions more customers around the world.

Another dramatic and emotional night in Anthony Joshua’s boxing career ultimately ended as just about everyone expected it would – with the countdown under way to a super-fight against Tyson Fury later in the year.

Joshua, 36, improved his record to 30-4, but he was almost on the end of one of the biggest shocks in his sport’s history when he was knocked down twice by little-known Albanian Kristian Prenga inside the first round.

The Briton regrouped in the second round to land a flurry of hard right hands, sending Prenga crashing to the canvas and getting the win he came to Jeddah for.

BBC Sport has selected some of the best pictures from the fight, which came seven months on from the car crash in Nigeria in which Joshua was injured and two of his closest friends died.

Snainton sits on the A170, around nine miles from Scarborough and roughly the same distance from Pickering.

Its position makes it a convenient base for exploring both the Yorkshire coast and the North York Moors, but the village’s most famous connection lies beyond the surrounding countryside.

Sir Ben Kingsley was born in Snainton in 1943 before going on to become one of Britain’s most internationally recognised actors.

He is best known for playing Mahatma Gandhi in the 1982 film Gandhi, a performance that earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Kingsley has since appeared in a long list of major films, including Schindler’s List, Shutter Island, House of Sand and Fog and Iron Man 3, and Thursday Murder Club.

His connection to the village gives Snainton a surprising link to Hollywood that many drivers passing through on the road between Scarborough and Pickering may not realise.

Today, Snainton is generally viewed as a quiet and charming village with a strong community feel.

Visitors praise its peaceful atmosphere and location between some of North Yorkshire’s most popular destinations.

Scarborough and its beaches lie one way, while Pickering, Dalby Forest and the North York Moors can be reached easily.

Its history stretches back much further, with the name Snainton possibly deriving from the Old English “Snocingtūn”.

The name is thought to mean a settlement connected with a person called Snoc.

Although Sir Ben Kingsley is the village’s best-known former resident, Snainton also has links to two important botanists.

George Vasey was born in the village before moving to the United States, where he became a leading figure in botanical science.

He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture and helped develop and organise its botanical work and collections.

Sydney Cross Harland was also born in Snainton in 1891.

Harland became an internationally recognised botanist and geneticist, specialising in cotton and carrying out scientific work in several countries.

After spending much of his career abroad, he returned to Snainton and died in the village in 1982.

Those connections mean the small North Yorkshire parish can claim an Oscar-winning actor and two prominent scientists among the people born there.

The village’s location has made it popular with visitors looking for a quieter place to stay while exploring the surrounding area.

Dalby Forest, with its walking and cycling routes, is within easy reach, while the attractions and coastline of Scarborough are only a short drive away.

Pickering also provides access to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and routes leading further into the national park.

A Reform UK spokesman said: “Reform takes pride in its stringent vetting of donations and always ensures that the Electoral Commission guidelines on donations, as set out in the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000, are strictly followed, as has been the case with donations so far.”

The queues of traffic are understood to be significant following the blaze.

A car has burst into flames on the M8 near Edinburgh triggering huge queues of traffic.

The incident is understood to have taken place at around 5pm on July 24. It is affecting the westbound carriageway of the motorway, between Hermiston Gait and Newbridge.

In a picture taken by a passing motorist, the front of the 4×4 plush Land Rover is engulfed in thick orange flames, with smoke billowing from the bonnet.

The driver of the luxury motor appears to have managed to get it onto the hard shoulder, reports Edinburgh Live.

However, the feed from a nearby traffic camera shows both lanes gridlocked as far as can be seen.

It is not yet known whether anybody has been injured.

The kingdom plays host to yet another major boxing event, and this is the second part of a weekend that serves as a build-up to a potentially huge match-up later this year.

Prenga’s 20 wins have come against pedestrian opposition, and if he wins tonight then it would be such an upset as to probably finish Joshua’s career as a real name in the sport.

Joshua, the former unified champion, has plenty of defeats to his name. Oleksandr Usyk, twice, as well as Daniel Dubois and Andy Ruiz Jnr.

Tonight should show us where he is. After his loss to Dubois in 2024 he did not fight again until December 2025, when he rearranged Jake Paul’s ability first to stand up, and second, to chew.

A win for Joshua tonight means that all eyes turn to the end of the year, when he is expected to finally meet Tyson Fury in the ring to settle their rivalry.

Now both are deposed champions, the interest has waned a tad, but it remains the biggest all-British clash that anybody could conceive.

Fury, for his part, had little trouble against Mariusz Wach last night, the 46-year-old journeyman who he fought in Thailand. While that was not broadcast live, the clips online hardly suggested it was a classic, but it was enough to keep Fury active as he maintained his focus and avoided his own banana skin.

Joshua now needs to show that he is capable of finishing a fight. If he struggles, he invites pressure for the next four or five months in the build-up to meeting Fury.

Will Harrison, founder of mobility retailer CareCo, which recently opened its 40th UK showroom in Stockton, said helping people maintain their independence was at the heart of the company’s approach.

He said: “Later life should be defined by opportunity, not limitation. We want to create a welcoming environment where people can talk about their mobility needs and get support that helps them continue doing the things they enjoy.”

Many of the borough’s health and wellbeing initiatives are built around the idea that staying active does not have to involve intensive exercise or expensive memberships. Instead, residents are encouraged to incorporate movement into their daily routines through walking, social activities and community-based programmes.

Stockton has also recently welcomed a new mobility showroom to Portrack Lane, giving residents the opportunity to try equipment such as mobility scooters and wheelchairs before making a purchase.

The showroom’s opening reflects a growing recognition that mobility support is about more than equipment alone. For many people, maintaining confidence to leave the house, visit friends and continue enjoying everyday activities can be just as important.

Anthony Joshua knows better than anyone how quickly heavyweight boxing can tear up the script. And for a moment on Saturday night in Jeddah, it looked as though another shock was unfolding as the British heavyweight was dropped twice and wrestled to the canvas in a chaotic opening round.

But Joshua dug deep, weathered the storm and, after finding another gear in the second, produced a devastating combination that flattened Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga, leaving the 35-year-old sprawled on his back and bringing a dramatic end to a fight that had threatened to derail his comeback before it had even begun.

Although, when AJ’s hand was raised, the victory itself almost felt secondary.

For the first time since returning to the ring, the grief that he had worked so hard to suppress finally appeared.

The former two-time heavyweight world champion appeared, perhaps for the first time in public, to let the emotions he had buried since Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele and Sina Ghami’s tragic deaths in a car crash in Nigeria last December finally surface.

Joshua admitted before the fight that he had spent months suppressing the pain of losing the two men – Latz, his strength coach, and Sina, his personal trainer – insisting he did not want to make their deaths about himself while their families mourned.

Yet, after completing the hardest comeback of his career, both physically and mentally, the emotion could no longer be contained. Joshua broke down during his post-fight interview when crediting his friends for getting him through the first round before quietly saying: ‘I don’t want to talk about it anymore.’

Joshua was overcome with emotion after the fight, going from a euphoric high to an emotional low within minutes 

For months after the crash, Joshua lived with constant pain. Simply getting out of bed became a struggle. He spent two months gently pedalling on a stationary bike before learning how to balance on a stability ball as he rebuilt his body from the ground up.

While the mental toll must have been every bit as demanding, if not more.

That said, Joshua and Eddie Hearn never liked calling this his ‘comeback fight’. Seven months out of the ring is hardly unusual for a heavyweight. He had never truly been away from boxing.

But in every way that mattered, this was a comeback.

Because making it back into the ring after losing two of the people closest to him was perhaps Joshua’s greatest challenge of all.

There were moments when returning to the ring did not feel important, or even possible. But eventually, boxing became part of the healing process.

And so, under the bright lights of the Jeddah Superdome and with Latz and Sina embodied on the canvas, Joshua walked back into battle carrying far more than the pressure of victory on his shoulders.

Prenga was never supposed to be the final destination. The Albanian was always viewed as the bridge to something much bigger.

From the moment the fight was announced, it was understood that the real prize was Fury later this year.

This was the tune-up. The opportunity for Joshua to shake off the ring rust, rebuild momentum and remind the heavyweight division exactly who he is.

That is not to say there was no danger. There always is in the heavyweight division and Joshua was reminded of that the hard way.

Prenga entered the contest with 20 knockouts from 20 victories and just a single defeat. The power was genuine. In heavyweight boxing, one punch can change everything, and for a moment it looked as though it might.

The Albanian dominated a chaotic opening round, dropping Joshua twice and threatening to rip up the script.

It’s anticipated that Joshua will finally fight Tyson Fury after both heavyweights won their fights this weekend 

But there are levels in elite boxing. Prenga had never shared a ring with anyone approaching Joshua’s pedigree or experience, and once the former two-time world champion returned to his corner and received a stern dressing down from his coaching team, he emerged with renewed purpose.

Still showing signs of the defensive vulnerabilities that have haunted him throughout his career, Joshua nevertheless displayed the resilience that has defined his comeback. He turned the tide in emphatic fashion, unleashing a devastating combination to stop Prenga 2:43 into the second round.

When Joshua’s hand was raised, the emotion he had worked so hard to suppress could finally be contained no longer.

He had warned beforehand that he had kept so much inside. He did not want to centre himself in a story that belonged to grieving families. He wanted to honour his friends privately.

Instead, he pledged lifelong financial support to both families and vowed to continue pursuing the dreams they all shared together.

Yet as victory was confirmed in Jeddah, it was impossible not to think of everything he had endured to get there. 

This was never just another win.

But there was one person missing: Tyson Fury.

Only 24 hours earlier, Fury had fought Mariusz Wach in Thailand, going seven rounds before the veteran Pole retired on his stool in a non-televised contest.

All week Fury had insisted he would not be travelling to Saudi Arabia for Joshua’s fight and, despite widespread expectation that he would make a late appearance, the former world champion stayed away.

His absence did little to dampen the belief that British boxing’s biggest fight is edging closer, but it denied fans the image they have waited years to see.

After so many failed negotiations, collapsed deals and false starts, supporters had hoped to see Joshua and Fury stand face-to-face in the ring for the first time with both men coming off victories.

But experience has taught Joshua not to assume anything in heavyweight boxing.

His long-awaited showdown with Deontay Wilder appeared all but set before Wilder suffered a shock defeat by Joseph Parker in December 2023 on the very same night Joshua won, sending months of planning into the bin.

The heavyweight division has a habit of snatching away the fights everyone wants to see.

That is why there will remain a degree of caution until the AJ vs Fury fight is officially confirmed.

Joshua and Eddie Hearn have already revealed that the contract stipulates any showdown with Fury must take place in the United Kingdom because, in their eyes, the biggest fight in British boxing history belongs on British soil.

As things stand, however, Turki Alalshikh and Netflix are understood to favour Madison Square Garden in New York.

That means the contracts will need to be renegotiated.

The expectation is that discussions between all parties will take place over the coming days as they attempt to iron out the remaining details.

For now, Joshua’s focus was not on what comes next, but on what he had already overcome.

The tears in Jeddah were not for Tyson Fury.

They were for Latz and Sina.
