Hollyoaks star axed from Channel 4 soap after 8 years

Jessamy Stoddart, who played Liberty Savage, was revealed to be leaving the show at the end of the Wednesday, May 27, episode.

Liberty had recently been struggling to move on with her life after being involved in an affair with serial killer Jez Blake.

The affair ended once she’d learnt what he’d done, as Liberty began to start dating again, but found it hard.

After a chat with Thersea and Myra, Liberty realised she wanted to move to a place that made her happy, New Zealand.

Hollyoaks star leaves soap after eight years

During Wednesday’s episode, Liberty told her family and friends that she would be moving to New Zealand with her daughter, Faith.

In her last scenes, Liberty got into a taxi with Faith, spotting Mercedes, Warren, and shouting, “Oh, just get on with it and snog him!” to Mercedes.

Actor Jessamy is leaving Hollyoaks as she starts her maternity leave.

In December, the star revealed that she was pregnant with her second baby with husband Ryan O’Gorman.

At the time, Jessamy shared in a post: “So incredibly lucky to be growing a little brother or sister for Joni.”

Coronation Street star Calum Lill has announced that he’s become a dad in a heartwarming Instagram post.

The actor played Joel Deering while on the ITV soap and shared the happy baby news in a post alongside his fiancée, Roberta McClarron.

The new parents revealed they named the baby girl Primrose, sharing a series of photos of the family.
