Hour-long delays on A14 following two car crash

There were four miles of queueing traffic on approach to the crash

Motorists travelling on the A14 this afternoon (August 1) are facing delays following a two car crash. According to National Highways, one lane is closed westbound between junction 34 (Fen Ditton) and junction 33 (Milton Interchange).

Emergency services and recovery are on the scene, but there are delays of around an hour and four miles of congestion on approach. All traffic was previously held just before 1pm, before Lane 2 was released around half an hour later.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Traffic has been released, lane 2 is now running past the scene. Lane 1 remains closed while recovery commences at scene. The incident involved two cars.”
