Quarter-final action at the World Cup begins tonight with pre-tournament favourites France taking on Morocco in Boston.

Les Bleus have won every single game in North America so far, topping their group in the process and are now two games away from reaching a third successive World Cup final.

Standing in their way is a Morocco side that are, technically, on a 34 match unbeaten run across all competitions and the last remaining African side.

Both teams have injury concerns heading into the quarter-final clash with Aurelien Tchouameni a doubt for France after missing their last-16 win over Paraguay.

The Atlas Lions, meanwhile, are sweating on the fitness of Ismael Saibari – who has scored three goals at the World Cup 2026 – after he was forced off with a muscular injury against Canada.

The two nations met in the semi-final stage four years ago in Qatar with France emerging as victors thanks to goals from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani.

Will history repeat itself or will Morocco gain a measure of revenge to set up a semi-final showdown against either Spain or Belgium?
