Huge cordon in place as police respond to major incident in south Manchester

A police forensics tent has been erected in Levenshulme

A large cordon is in place as police are tonight responding to a major incident in south Manchester.

Pictures from the scene show a forensics tent erected in a park off Chapel Street in Levenshulme. Scene of crime officers were also spotted on Chapel Street, which has been taped off by police.

Concerned residents in the area started contacting the Manchester Evening News when they spotted a significant emergency service presence around the park on Saturday evening.
