Huge fire breaks out in Cowbridge as thick smoke billows from scene
A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service told WalesOnline that the blaze is ongoing.
She said many calls had been received from people travelling on the A48 who had seen the smoke.
Initial reports were of a vehicle fire, but it is understood the blaze is as a result of burning tyres.
Crews from a number of stations arrived at around 6pm, and five aerial appliances and three water bowsers are in use.
