Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the find was made on the A4 Portway in Bristol, which connects the city centre to the M5 motorway and Avonmouth via the Avon Gorge. Officers added that the remains have been linked to an ongoing search for the missing 40-year-old Rebaz, Bristol Live reports.

While formal identification is still to be completed, officers have notified the family of Rebaz. He was last seen on May 4 near Fishponds Road, prompting a public appeal amid growing concern for his welfare.

“Police were called to the Portway on Tuesday evening, 2 June, by a member of the public who had found human remains,” the force confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday.
