Liam Gallagher Denies Oasis Glastonbury 2027 Rumours

Liam Gallagher has made it clear that fans shouldn’t expect to see Oasis returning to Glastonbury in 2027.

After a fallow year in 2026 to give the ground at Worthy Farm a break, Glastonbury will be reopening its doors next year, with organiser Emily Eavis revealing recently that the next crop of headliners have already been locked in.

Over the weekend, bookies named Oasis – who reunited for a string of stadium shows after a 15-year hiatus in 2025 – as one of the top picks for the headlining slot, but frontman Liam claimed on X that he’s not exactly enamoured with this idea.

“It’s not HAPPENING,” he insisted on X, adding: “So all you croc-wearing flag-waving shit cunts can calm the fuck down.”

Warming to his theme, he then responded to another rumour about performing at a different location in Ireland, quipping: “Do they encourage CROCS n FLAGWAVING if so I’m afraid it’s NO from ME.”

During an exchange with another fan, he then added that he’d not long dreamt that Oasis were “playing at Glastonbury”, where “the croc brigade stormed the stage and started whipping me to death with [their] flags”.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Oasis could make a return to the stage in 2027, after it was claimed their team had secured a licence to perform a run of shows at Knebworth last year, which would mark 30 years since the band last performed there.

Posting on X on Monday morning, Liam quipped: “Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds…”

If you do manage to secure tickets, just maybe leave the Crocs and flags at home, yeah?

For the time being, little is known about exactly who will be taking to the Pyramid Stage when Glastonbury gets up and running again next year.

Emily Eavis has ruled out an appearance from Madonna, though, while hinting that another major pop icon had been booked to appear instead.
