LUSH S’mores Shower Gel Has Replaced Snow Fairy As My Favourite Christmas Scent

Some things at Christmas simply have to be true: decorations go up at the start of the month and stay up longer than they should, carols get annoying, and crackers are essential but perpetually disappointing.

Personally, my Christmas routine has always meant one thing: stocking up on Lush’s Snow Fairy shower gel every December. It’s a tradition for me at this point, I can’t get enough.

Okay, maybe I never grew out of being a teenage girl, but there’s something about the scent that immediately reminds me Christmas day is pending whenever I shower with it, and it’s been my favourite seasonal scent forever.

So when Lush dropped a new Christmas scent claiming to be the ‘new Snow Fairy’ I was sceptical.

Named S’mores but loaded with cinnamon, benzoin (AKA tree resin), clove, and fenugreek, it’s a slightly less sickly sweet version of Snow Fairy.

And, here’s the kicker, I feel like I can start using it earlier in the year because it’s evocative of bonfires and autumn as well as Christmas, so you get even more use out of it,

The weather outside might not yet be frightful – or even autumnal – but it’s no secret that after the summer we had, we’re all desperate to jump on board the cosy trend.

Having actually eaten a s’more (yup, that is the singular of s’mores, however wrong it sounds) recently, the shower gel is just what I needed to turboboost me into an autumnal frame of mind.

It might have even overtaken my love of Snow Fairy because it’s not quite so saccharine, and is more akin to a Sticky Dates scent.

Not to mention, as a night shower fan, it’s the perfect scent to unwind with before pulling on a fresh set of PJs and clambering into bed. Cooooosy.
