M6 fire LIVE updates as huge queues build with firefighters on motorway
Drivers are facing long delays on the M6 southbound following a fire this morning.
Two lanes of traffic have been closed and firefighters are working to tackle a blaze between junctions 28 at Leyland and 27 at Standish.
An image from the scene shows a vehicle with a severely damaged front end following the fire.
Long queues of around 50 minutes have built up on the approach.
