M61 crash led to minor injuries say Lancashire police
Emergency services were called to the M61 after a crash shut lanes on the southbound carriageway.
Emergency services attended the incident between junction eight at the A674 Millennium Way, Chorley, and junction six at the A6027 De Havilland Way, Horwich.
Two lanes were initially closed following the crash, which happened at around 7.20 pm.

Lancashire Constabulary later confirmed the collision was a road traffic accident, resulting in minor injuries.
All lanes reopened just before 9.30pm.
North West Ambulance Service crews and National Highways officers also attended the scene while traffic moved slowly through the area.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: “This was a minor injury road traffic collision.”

Pictures from the scene showed emergency vehicles and traffic building on the motorway as cones closed lanes to drivers.
By around 8 pm, one lane had reopened while recovery work continued at the scene.
National Highways traffic maps later showed no major delays on that stretch of motorway.
