M62 carriageway to close completely for ’emergency repairs’
The closure is for emergency repairs following flooding from heavy rain which has been an issue since Friday, February 6.
The M62 Eastbound will close completely between Junction 11, Birchwood, and Junction 12, Eccles, on Sunday, February 8.
A National Highways spokesperson said this is in addition to a single-lane closure on the opposite, westbound carriageway.
Lanes 1 and 2 (of 4) remain closed on the #M62 eastbound between J11 (#Birchwood) and J12 (#M60) due to a drainage issue.
