A man has been arrested following an early morning knifepoint robbery at a service station in Belfast.
Police made the arrest after the reported robbery at commercial premises on the Antrim Road in north Belfast on Wednesday, August 19.
Shortly after 6am, it was reported that a male entered a service station located in the area armed with a knife.
The male ordered a female member of staff to open the till and made off with a sum of money and other items following the incident. The staff member was not injured during the incident.
A 48-year-old man was subsequently arrested by police on suspicion of robbery and possession of a blade or point. He remains in police custody at this time.
