Man ‘armed with scissors’ threatens staff member at Belfast train station

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a blade or pointed article in a public place and common assault.

A man has been arrested following a report of a male armed with scissors threatening a member of staff at a Belfast train station.

Police say the incident reprortedly occured at Grand Central Station at around 1pm on Tuesday, June 30.

Officers attended and arrested the 29-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a blade or pointed article in a public place and common assault. He currently remains in police custody.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have captured footage from the area which could help with their investigation, to call them at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 741 30/06/26.
