A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the disturbance.

A man has been arrested after armed police swarmed a quiet Livingston street and taped off the area amid a “disturbance”.

Around 10.40pm on July 10, police were called to Morrison Way in Livingston. The area was taped off while inquiries into an alleged disturbance were carried out.

There were no reports of injuries. A 23-year-old man has since been arrested and charged.

Pictures taken at the scene show a large number of emergency response vehicles, including fire crews and paramedics.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.40pm on Friday, 10 July, 2026, we were called to a disturbance on Morrison Way in Livingston. Police, including armed officers, attended. There were no reports of injuries.

“A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He’s due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, 13 July.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told Edinburgh Live: “We were in attendance at Morrison Way in Livingston on July 10. We received a call at 23.22 to assist Police Scotland with an incident. Crews left the scene at 01.16.”
