Man charged with seven offences after Salford hit-and-run

Police were called following an incident on Broughton Lane at around 5.40pm on Wednesday, September 9.

Maurizio Sechi, of Great Clowes Street, Salford, has now been charged in connection with the incident.

The 52-year-old has been charged with a Section 18 assault and two counts of attempted Section 18 assault.

He has also been charged with dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Sechi faces a further two charges of possession of cannabis.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that he had been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, September 11.

The charges relate to the hit-and-run incident on Broughton Lane on Wednesday evening.

Proceedings are now active.
