Centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov is a doubt for this match after picking up a knock against Everton in the first week of May. He has not appeared in either of City’s matches since.

Ballon d’Or-winning midfielder Rodri is in the same boat as he deals with a groin injury. Josko Gvardiol is a long-term absentee.

Guardiola may well rotate for this match with an eye to keeping his top players at peak freshness for Saturday’s FA Cup final, meaning the likes of Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland could be left out.
