Man due in court after stabbing in Trinity Lane, York

The 30-year-old man is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday, February 28).

It comes after North Yorkshire Police were called to an address in Trinity Lane, off Micklegate, York at around 3.20pm on Thursday (February 19).

As The Press reported, a 40-year-old man was subsequently taken to hospital with wounds consistent with a stabbing, where he currently remains.

Two men and three women, aged between 28 and 58, were arrested in connection with the incident.

A force spokesperson said: “One man has been charged with obstructing police, assaulting police and possessing a knife.

“Another man has been released with no further action.

“The remaining suspects have been bailed, with bail conditions in place, while our enquiries continue.”
