Man left injured after disturbance in Pelton, County Durham

Emergency services were called to Constance Street in Pelton at around 1am on Saturday, August 29, after the incident.

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital with head and back injuries but has since been discharged.

Three men aged 62, 40 and 33, and a 44-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Police said they were later released on bail.

A spokesperson for Durham Police added: “Officers believe this is an isolated incident and are not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened.

“An investigation has been launched, and anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference 230 of August 29.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service added: “We were called to an incident at a private address in Pelton, Chester-Le-Street on Saturday, August 29, at 1.10pm.

“We dispatched one ambulance crew, and one patient was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
